The most memorable scene is undoubtedly the interrogation scene in the police precinct where author Catherine Tramell, who is suspected of murdering a rock star, is questioned by police officers and inspector Nick Curran. The ex-model, who was struggling to make a name for herself in Hollywood, became a worldwide star at 34 years old after the release of the film. Yes, that was Sharon Stone in that scene, there was no body double.

In 1992, Paul Verhoeven released his erotic thriller Basic Instinct with star Michael Douglas and a then relatively unknown actress, Sharon Stone. The scene has all of the key ingredients of a scandal, including an interrogation room, a chair and crossed legs. This is one of the most iconic erotic scenes in film history, which is still being talked about thirty years after the release of Paul Verhoeven's cult film.
